EPISODE 3, Day 2 - The Problem called Jarakay

The episode starts with the conflict in the Jarakay tribe in the placement of the camp. Initially, Gigit the current tribe leader planned to have the camp placement near the water reservoir. Kiko on the other hand was consistent in disapproving Gigit's plan and instead plans to have the camp near the beach because of too much crawly critters and other nocturnal animals in the woods.

Marlon insists for democracy vote for the camp placement and is irked because of lack of planning. Gigit as the leader somewhat pacified Marlon and delegated camp placement to Kiko, food for Marlon and himself for the fire. Jace thinks that Gigit's delegation of tasks is too late and thinks that he doesn't have any gameplan at all.

Kiko is somewhat annoyed with Marlon's outburst because everyone is doing their part.

And then there is conflict
The Naak girls are divided between the city girls and the province girls in finalising their shelter. While Patani,Chev and Zita were busy working on strengthening the foundation of their shelter, Nikki, Charisse and Veronica were caught sleeping by the working girls most of the time.

Marlon is trying to provoke Gigit in feeding remarks Kiko was saying in their tribe decisions in placing the camp which up to now is not yet done.

Cris is convinced by Marlon that there is a power struggle between Kiko. Marlon on the otherhand, tried to put conflict between Gigit and Kiko.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Jarakay tribe composed of Jace, Kiko, JC, John and Emer continue to build the camp along the shore.

The lost Bra
After taking a break, Zita noticed that her lone bra hanging along the branches is gone and was disappointed with the girls not taking care of it.

"Kayo ha mga anak ko pag mga gamit ninyo kinicare ko tapos pag ang gamit ko di ninyo kinicare" Zita quips.

The Moaning Continues

Marlon is very vocal with his frustration with Kiko and airs it to Cris, his fishing partner. Marlon says that if they dont act together with Emer they will be easy targets of the formed group of Jace, Kiko, JC and John once tribal council comes.

Gigit passes leadership of Jarakay to Kiko

Gigit frustrated not being able to produce fire for his task, surprisingly relingquished his leadership to Kiko.

Jace sees thinks that Gigit's effort is a cover up just to win the tribes vote because of his failure as a leader.

It's Immunity Challenge tomorrow... Who will win the challenge? Will it be Naak or Jarakay? And who is most likely to be voted out? See the next episode tomorrow at Youtube, Pinaychannel.com or GMA7.

EPISODE 1 - SEASON PREMIERE - Of Raincoats and Crocs Slip Ons

The episode started with Paolo Bediones giving a background of a preserved remote island in Thailand, also a former island prison during the 1930s, named Koh Tarutao where our 18 survivors will stay for 39 days to ourwit, outlast and outplay each other.

All 18 survivors were riding a small fishing boat all seeing each other for the first time and not to speak to each other. Paulo is riding a separate boat and instructed the survivors to jump off the boat and swim to the island which is a kilometer away from where they are.

The long swim introduced all the 18 survivors and who they are in real life:

Zita - Laundry woman
Niña - Working Mom

Veronica - Taekwondo instructor
Chev - Ukay ukay owner
Vevherly - Criminology Student
Kaye - Lingerie model
Nikki - Call Center Agent
Patani - Yaya

Rob - Sales Executive
Gigit - Web designer
Cris - Driver
JC - Basketball Player
Kiko - Businessman
Jace - Gym instuctor
John - Auto Mechanic / Model
Marlon - Waiter Emerson - Sewing machine Technician

Jace reached the island first followed by Zita, then JC from San Sebastian College. Chris and Patani came close neck to neck while Marlon ran away from his group composed of Vheverly, Chev, Nikki and Kiko to get to the mat first. Gigit came next then John the model automechanic. Charice, Veronica,Emerson, Rob, Kaye were the last batch with Niña coming in as the last person.

Then they were introduced to their tribes. Seems like it will be men versus women after all. The Men tribe is Jarakay and the Women tribe is Naak .

After tribes were announced, Jarakai was rewarded a bigger camp because Jace, their member was the first Survivor to reach the shore.

They also managed to find their water supply on that same day. Meanwhile on the Jarakay tribe, power struggle between alpha males is boiling earlier as they were trekking on their way to their camp. Gigit is suggesting to create a makeshift shelter while most of the team particularly Kiko comments that it is a waste of time.

Welcome to Survivor Philippines: Recaps!

Hello readers.

This website is created to show my great fanaticism with the Survivor show. I've been a fan since day 1 of the SURVIVOR show when ABS-CBN has the rights to show the first reality series on their UHF station Studio 23. I've been a fan of Richard Hatch's scheming and manipulating, loved the underdogs of the show like Peeh Geeh of Survivor China and great players like Colby of Survivor Australia.

Now, who'll be our favorite in Survivor Philippines? My favorites are Zita and Patani. I'll keep my lips closed for now for my other bets.
